  • Place a 728×90 leaderboard image ad above the fold for placement targeting and to receive higher brand value and clickthrough rates (CTR).
  • Place a 160×600 wide skyscraper ad unit below the navigation bar. Set them to display text and image ads.

These are four best practices that Google suggest for increasing your Adsense income from your blog. I’ve already implement some of these tips in this blog by removing the ad in the header of the blog and instead of it I put the 300×250 medium rectangle Adsense ad in the middle of the post. I’ll leave it like this for few days to see if there will be any difference. I’ll write an update and stats in this post after few days.
